Rain Candle

Strung from the tune of ‘Billions’ by Caroline Polachek

"Laughing, hopeless
Silently potent
And he looks uncertain.
Wrinkles wrestle
Down from the neck-folds
and his smile page-full,
Thin and turn-pin."

Wake me up to hear it,
Auburn breeze drowned-
Becomingly brief, and
Light the azure mountains
-opposite to opalescent and,
-the none-less witty.

Prithee, pretty 'pop-pop's
and smooth-drops
Bring sane-mouths
from -sang lips.
Solventeeter, rot to older.
Recover? Racing, glowing gamble.
Neither us nor other call a shot,
but stumble-out in lots, in sandals.
Led by nose through bounty calls,
Each served with tadpoles
(+cicadas imm⨊dicable).

"It sickens me to love you so."
We shout into the open void,
Demanding constant festival.
just might grow tired one day,
eventually air-out all the tricks
and actually start acting-out in gambol.
For now though...

Keep us both tight in bother's arms,
Under light
of the rain candle.
